PROJECT

The agricultural fragmentation and the lack of cooperation are a structural issue for micro enterprises. Their limited ability to develop diversified activities, to increase income and competitiveness through collaboration with companies belonging to different economic sectors, is a clear fact. Micro agricultural enterprises have no decision-making power in the agri-food market. The low prices set by the large-scale retail market do not respect the real costs of their labor. The proposed solution is to test a microeconomic system through a short B2B supply chain, identifying economic markets with a relevant added value such as the experiential food and wine tourism sector.

A network for local rural development.

It is necessary to innovate their organizational models at an interprofessional level, agricultural diversification on new crops, intelligent logistic-distribution systems, eco-sustainable packaging, small scale of fresh or primary fresh fourth range products, new traceability technologies to improve territorial recognition, multimedia solutions to improve production-retailer communication processes and storytelling.

A program that involves the testing of a system for the management of supply and demand through technological applications (platform and app), with respect to the demand of tourism and trade, a low-impact transport, logistics and packaging program and through principles of environmental and social sustainability for the delivery of fresh and/or processed products from the producer to the consumer/ processing /sales company.

A process of territorial recognition through communication and storytelling, social media marketing, meetings / conferences and training / education, traceability.
